Need 8 boats registered
- Sail inventory form
passed out by Tenkel need to turn this in to Gerraghty.
- Molded sail technology.
Lex McCrindle
requested the class review its ban on 3DL technology. He suggested
that the C&C 35 is not competitive outside of class. The
3DL AP#1 is $3,310 vs a Pentex
$2,832. Lex asserted that the 3DL sail is
as long lived as more conventional sails. - Lex McCrindle
Hellenbart suggested that
another method of leveling the playing field with non class boats was to
request our rating be reviewed. He suggested that the correct rating
of our boat should be 135.
Shefferly moved to invite sailmakers and any other persons with expertise on 3DL
technology to the Fall meeting. The
membership is encouraged to gather any data they may find on this subject
for the same purpose of analysis. Padilla second unanimous approval.
Hellenbart suggested
that we begin to discuss our PHRF rating. We are not as fast as a
T10 or Santana 35 yet we rate the same. Geraghty
said that he would begin to research this issue.
- Wednesday night WYC
races. Never near the dumping grounds. Classes will be
established after the second race. 6 boats will make a class.
C&C 35's encouraged to participate.
